Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin accessories from the Czech manufacturer Firma49 in 1:16 scale. It contains castings of Soviet canteens as carried by the soldiers of the Red Army in the Second World War. It is not a vehicle kit or a figure but a detail accessory in its own right, with which you can bring a diorama, the equipment of a figure or a vehicle to life. The parts are intended for more experienced modelers used to working with resin.
The Soviet canteen was part of the basic equipment of an ordinary soldier. It was typically a sheet-metal (aluminum or steel) vessel of an elongated shape with a screw cap, often in a cloth or felt cover and with a loop for the belt. It was an inseparable part of the field equipment of the infantry and of vehicle crews throughout the war.
First wash the parts free of any mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand away any flash (with respiratory protection). Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; the metal of the vessel looks good in shades of steel or aluminum, the cloth cover in khaki or olive tones. Final washes and dry brushing will bring out the texture of the cover and the cap.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
