Responsibility details are not available.
A large collector figure of a Roman gladiator in 1:16 scale from the historical figures range of MiniArt. It is an injection-molded plastic kit of a single figure to assemble and paint yourself, usually with a base for display. It is not a finished figure and not a vehicle model.
Gladiators were the arena fighters of ancient Rome who appeared in contests staged to entertain the crowds. There were several types of gladiator, differing in armament and protective gear – from the heavily armed with a shield, a helmet and an arm guard to more lightly dressed fighters with a net and a trident. The contests took place in amphitheaters and were an integral part of Roman entertainment culture.
Separate the parts from the sprues carefully, clean up the parting seams and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. In the large 1:16 scale the painting of the face and bare skin with realistic shading of the muscles comes into its own; metal parts of the helmet and the guards are lifted by metallic highlights, leather elements by warm brown shades. Bring out the recesses and folds with a darker glaze (a wash).
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
