Injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 fighter in the exceptionally large 1:18 scale. Thanks to this format the result is a large model with a richly rendered surface, a well-broken-down cockpit and landing gear bays. The box contains plastic parts, decals and assembly instructions; the manufacturer is Hobby Boss.
The Fw 190 was one of the highest-performing German fighters of the Second World War. The A-5 version belonged to the series powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine and was distinguished by a slightly lengthened engine mount, which improved the balance of the aircraft. The Fw 190 served as a fighter and as a fighter-bomber on most fronts.
Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints. Before spraying, it is recommended to degrease the surface and treat it with primer; apply the final shades with an airbrush. The large scale shows to advantage in the shading of the panels, the engine and the cockpit. The decals settle better on a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
