Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's plastic model of the Soviet transport aircraft Lisunov Li-2 in the small 1:200 scale from Zvezda. The box holds injection-molded plastic parts, a clear part for the glazing, decals and a stand. The model is designed as snap-fit, so it can be put together even without glue; with glue the build gains in strength and accuracy.
The Li-2 was the Soviet license version of the American Douglas DC-3, built from the late 1930s. It originally carried the designation PS-84 and after being renamed the Li-2 it became the backbone of Soviet military and civil transport in the Second World War. It was used to carry cargo and paratroopers, as an ambulance aircraft and for night bombing. Compared with the DC-3 it had a number of structural changes adapted to Soviet production and operation.
A small scale rewards careful fitting and fine painting. Use thin liquid cement for plastic, lay down primer and apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Sand the engraving carefully. The finished model shows well on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
