1:24 JERRYCANS 20L US TYPE is a set of models of twenty-liter US type jerrycans in 1:24 scale. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory for car models, military vehicles and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains models of twenty-liter transport cans (jerrycans) of the US type in the large 1:24 scale. It is an accessory for modelers, not a vehicle model on its own or a complete kit. Cans of this type were among the most common equipment of wheeled and tracked vehicles of the Second World War and the postwar era, and they carried fuel, oil and drinking water. That is exactly why they are a rewarding detail that can give a scene or a static model conviction and scale.
Clean and degrease the cans before painting, then apply a thin coat of primer. Choose the base shade according to the service - most often olive green, sand or gray. It is the weathering that gives them conviction: a dark wash into the pressings and the edging, a fine dry brush on the edges, small scrapes of bare metal and traces of rust, and perhaps dried splashes of fuel around the cap. With stowage that is carried about often it pays to weather more heavily than on bodywork.
For builders of car models and military vehicles in 1:24 scale, for creators of dioramas and scenes and for collectors who want to finish the details of their models. Suitable for beginners as well - the parts are small, quickly done and with no risk of spoiling a whole model on them.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
