An injection-molded plastic model of the classic American long-haul tractor Peterbilt 378 in 1:24 scale from the Italian brand Italeri. The model faithfully captures the typical American conventional-cab truck with an extended cab, a long hauler. The box holds plastic parts, generous chrome, clear parts, rubber tires and decals. The assembled model measures almost 35 cm and offers a detailed engine and chassis.
The Peterbilt 378 is a conventional-cab tractor intended for demanding long-haul transport, popular for its rugged construction and timeless looks. It was powered by a potent Detroit Diesel engine, and the machine stands out for its well-worked chassis, its suspension and its characteristic chrome fittings: twin exhausts, round air cleaners and a massive bumper. The tilting hood gives access to the engine.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic, then fill and sand the seams. Apply a primer before painting and apply the colors with an airbrush in thin coats. A gloss coat will finish the painted surfaces of the cab, and the engine and chassis will come to life when the details are picked out with a wash. Finish the chrome fittings and the cab interior before the final assembly.
