Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the classic delivery version of the Volkswagen Type 2 in 1:24 scale from the production of the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The package is a special edition to which, besides the car itself, a 3D-printed figure of the girl Lucy McDonnell and decals for the body graphics belong. It is therefore above all a model of the car completed by a figure as a bonus. Check the exact number of parts and the extent of the decals against the manufacturer's information.
The Volkswagen Type 2, known as the Transporter, is a legendary German commercial vehicle with an air-cooled engine mounted at the rear. The delivery version with a closed body served for distributing goods and became an icon of postwar motorization and of later leisure culture. The characteristic rounded shape, the split windshield on the early types and the roomy load compartment are among its unmistakable features.
Cut the parts off the sprues and bond them with thin cement for plastic; smooth the body and spray it with an airbrush over a primer. For the faithful look of a commercial vehicle a gloss coat and careful application of the graphics decals work well. Mask the glazing and the chrome accessories and varnish them separately. Wash the 3D-printed figure free of uncured resin residue, cut the print supports off and paint it with a brush, with the emphasis on the face and on the shades of skin and clothing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
