A plastic figure of the Giant Bergtroll from the World of Fantasy range in 1:24 scale from Master Box. It is a single fantasy figure of a giant mountain troll swinging a massive tree trunk as a weapon. The figure is a rewarding subject for collectors of fantasy and for lovers of painting outside the usual military themes. For the exact contents of the package, follow the instructions.
The Bergtroll, or mountain troll, is a creature of fantasy and Norse mythology: a massive, roughly built being with stony skin. Master Box has treated it as a dynamic sculpture in an attacking gesture, with the emphasis on the musculature, the texture of the skin and the expression. The 1:24 scale gives plenty of room for detailed painting.
Clean the parts of flash and glue them with cement for plastic, then fill the seams. Spray a primer; build the skin up by layering and glazing so that the texture stands out. The techniques used for figures work well - shading and highlighting; washes and drybrushing also show to advantage on such a large surface. The manufacturer recommends acrylic paints for figures.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
