A sizable plastic kit of the American light attack aircraft Douglas A-4M Skyhawk in the large 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The injection-molded model offers finely engraved panel lines, a well equipped cockpit, a boarding ladder, optionally extended flaps, photo-etched parts and a rich load of external stores. The decals allow machines of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to be built.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a small, light and agile carrier attack aircraft created in the 1950s as a simple and inexpensive replacement for older machines. Thanks to its compact dimensions it needed no folding wings. The A-4M version was one of the last and most capable modifications, with a more powerful engine and the characteristic angular avionics hump behind the cockpit; it served above all with the United States Marine Corps. The Skyhawk became famous for a long and successful career with a number of countries around the world.
Finish and paint the richly broken down cockpit before the fuselage is closed. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, clean up the seams and preserve the fine engraved lines. We recommend a primer, spraying with an airbrush and bringing out the panels with a wash. Protect the cockpit glazing with masks. Add and mask the external stores and the drop tanks at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
