Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the updated version of the American vertical takeoff attack aircraft AV-8B Harrier II Plus in the large 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. It is a sizable and richly broken down model supplemented with clear plastic, a photo-etched fret and rubber tires. The hallmark of the Plus version is the lengthened nose with a radar, which the kit faithfully captures against the basic Harrier II.
The AV-8B Harrier II Plus is the updated version of the vertical and short takeoff attack aircraft (V/STOL) of the United States Marine Corps. You can tell it from the basic version by the APG-65 radar in the lengthened nose, which markedly widened its use against ground as well as aerial targets. Harriers use vectored engine thrust with swiveling nozzles, thanks to which they can take off and land vertically or on a very short strip and operate from small ships. Besides the United States, other navies operated the Plus version as well.
Use thin cement for plastic and bond the photo-etched and clear parts with super glue. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage; the large scale lets the detail come into its own here. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors on with an airbrush; the enclosed scheme makes clean cockpit glazing easier. Paint the swiveling nozzles and the external stores and fit them at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
