A large multimedia kit in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer HpH Models. This is not conventional injection-molded plastic - the core of the model consists of fiberglass and resin parts supplemented by a quantity of photo-etched parts, clear parts and decals. It is a very extensive and demanding project for experienced builders and collectors, and the finished model reaches respectable dimensions. The package is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain is the military version of the DC-3 transport aircraft. During the Second World War and in the postwar years it became one of the most important transport aircraft of all - it carried cargo and paratroopers, towed gliders and served in every theater. The twin-engine all-metal high-wing monoplane was renowned for its reliability and long service life.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin and fiberglass parts, cut off the casting gates and blocks and sand the surfaces down (with respiratory protection). They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy; it is advisable to reinforce the larger assemblies and to fit them together dry. Use a quality primer and an airbrush for the large metal areas; apply the decals over a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin (fiberglass) kit for the experienced. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
