F-105 Thunderchief intake covers (F.O.D. covers) 1:32 - a resin detail accessory that covers the engine intake on a parked model. It is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin (3D-printed) detail set imitating the protective engine intake covers, the so-called F.O.D. covers (Foreign Object Damage), which protect the intake on the ground against foreign objects getting in. This is a modeling accessory for rendering the aircraft in a parked configuration, not an aircraft kit.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief, nicknamed the Thud, was a single-seat supersonic fighter-bomber and one of the largest single-engine single-seat combat aircraft of its day. It became famous for its service in the Vietnam War, where it carried out strikes against ground targets. Its characteristic intakes, in the form of forward-swept cones on the leading edges of the wing roots, also gave rise to the typical covers for ground handling.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, carefully separate the print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The covers are usually sprayed in a bright warning color with REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT lettering, which gives a model on a stand an authentic look.
This is a detail accessory. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
