Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier-borne torpedo biplane Fairey Swordfish Mk.I in the large 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. It is a large model which, according to the manufacturer, also comes with clear plastic, a photo-etched sheet, decals and rubber tires. As with every biplane, the build ends with the bracing wires between the flying surfaces, which give the model its characteristic look.
The Fairey Swordfish was a British carrier-borne torpedo and reconnaissance biplane of the Fleet Air Arm during the Second World War. Although it was already an obsolete design with fabric covering by the time it went to war, it made its name through reliability and a low landing speed. The Swordfish became famous above all for the attack on the Italian fleet at Taranto and for the damage to the German battleship Bismarck that contributed to her sinking.
Work in subassemblies and use liquid cement for plastic; glue the photo-etched and clear parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish and paint the interior and the engine before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and spray the colors with an airbrush. Join the wings and the interplane struts carefully so the geometry is right, and leave the bracing wires until the very end, ideally made of elastic rigging thread or drawn tube.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
