Handling aircraft has long since stopped being a male affair, and pictures from present-day American bases and ships show it clearly. Even so, female figures remain a rarity on offer to modelers, so a scene with ground crew often looks more monotonous than things really are. This item puts that right.
The brand offers several poses for the tractor drivers, differing in the carriage of the body, the turn of the head and the position of the hands. The number in the name gives which of them it is. Two matches a turn backwards over the shoulder, that is what a driver does every time he or she reverses with an aircraft hitched behind the tractor. For a diorama scene it is the most rewarding variant: the figure's gaze leads the viewer's eye to what is going on behind the vehicle.
The casting is one piece at a magnification of 1:32. That is a scale where it makes sense to work up the eyes, the strands of hair coming out from under the helmet and the folds of the coveralls. On the other hand, every unremoved remnant of the parting line is mercilessly visible in it, so give yourself calm and good light for preparing the surface.
The safety vests of ground crew tend to be strikingly colorful, and their shade gives away what work the person does on the deck. This detail can explain in a single view what is happening in the scene, and it costs only a few strokes of a brush.
