Roden 1:32 Hispano-Suiza 8Ab is a plastic kit of a stand-alone model of an Allied First World War aircraft engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit presents a stand-alone collector model of the Hispano-Suiza 8Ab aircraft engine in 1:32 scale from Roden. It is not an aircraft model but a faithfully rendered powerplant. The injection-molded plastic kit is completed with photo-etched parts and a base, so the finished engine can be displayed in a case or used as an accessory to a diorama.
The Hispano-Suiza 8 was a liquid-cooled V8 designed by Marc Birkigt. The engines of this family powered a number of Allied fighters during the First World War. The 8Ab version was one of the more powerful variants, with an output of around one hundred and eighty horsepower, and became one of the most widespread liquid-cooled engines of its day.
Clean the parts up carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Fix the photo-etched components with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring out the metal look of the engine with a combination of steel and brass shades, a dark wash into the recesses and gentle dry-brushing on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
