A set of colored 3D decals from Kelik for detailing the cockpit interior of the German Junkers Ju-87 D Stuka dive bomber in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the Hasegawa kit: pre-printed films built up in layers, with high relief on the instrument panels, the side panels and the seats. The parts come colored from the factory, so they give the pilot's compartment depth and a realistic look without laborious photo-etching or hand painting.
The Ju-87 D was the more powerful development of the legendary Stuka, with a reworked, aerodynamically cleaner nose and a stronger inverted V12 Junkers Jumo engine. It went into service from 1941 on the Eastern Front and in Africa as a dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. The D brought a higher bomb load, better armor and a revised rear defensive position.
Separate the parts carefully and apply them with the classic decal technique to clean, degreased interior surfaces. It pays to let the decal soften enough in water, press it gently into the relief with a softener and finally bring it together with a light wash in the recesses to pick out the instruments.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The aircraft kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
