The Lavochkin La-7 was one of the best Soviet fighters of the closing stage of the Second World War. It came about by development from the earlier La-5FN, brought improved aerodynamics and a lower structural weight, which gave it excellent agility and performance at low and medium altitudes. It was powered by an air-cooled radial engine. A number of Soviet aces flew the La-7; among the best known was Ivan Kozhedub, the most successful Allied fighter pilot of the Second World War.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the remains of mold release agent from the mold, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, and wear respiratory protection while sanding (a respirator), ideally working wet — resin dust is harmful to health. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and strengthen the joints where needed. Apply a primer before painting, then spray with an airbrush; handle the metal and clear parts separately.
