The Aber 1:32 set of 6 turned Browning M2 .50 cal (12.7 mm) barrels for the P-51 Mustang is a metal detail accessory replacing all six plastic barrels of the wing armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal detail accessory from the Polish firm Aber, not an aircraft model. The package contains six turned metal barrels of the American Browning M2 machine gun of .50 cal (12.7 mm) in 1:32 scale, that is, exactly as many as the wings of the P-51 Mustang fighter carried. The metal barrels replace the plastic ones and give the leading edges of the wings fine, symmetrical detail.
The North American P-51 Mustang was among the most successful Allied fighters of the Second World War. The late versions carried six Browning M2 .50 cal machine guns in their wings, which made up their standard armament. A complete set of six barrels therefore matches the real configuration of the aircraft.
Cut off the plastic barrels from the leading edges, drill the holes and glue the metal barrels in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base coat of primer. The metal parts can also be soldered if need be.
This is an add-on accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
