This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:32 scale captures the legendary British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in its Mk.II version. It is a Revell Gift Set inspired by the tie-in with the band Iron Maiden. Besides the kit itself, the gift set usually also contains the basic paints, glue and a brush, so you can start building without buying anything extra.
The Spitfire Mk.II was an improved version of the famous fighter, used in the early stages of the Second World War. It was powered by a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and became famous for its excellent agility and its characteristic elliptical wing. Aircraft of this era took part in the defense of Britain and are among the most iconic machines in history.
Assemble and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Mask the frames of the glazing carefully. The large 1:32 scale leaves room for detail on the engine and the surface structures. For a striking look, make use of the bold scheme in the set and a fine panel wash. Add further shades to the paints in the set as required.
