This decal set from DK Decals provides wet-slide decals for building Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighters in 1:32 scale, specifically aircraft flown by Czechoslovak airmen in the ranks of the Royal Air Force (RAF). The set includes national markings, code letters and additional markings for several schemes. This is not a kit — the decals are applied to an already built and painted model of the corresponding Spitfire.
The decals are designed for a smooth, gloss surface. Cut out the individual motif, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place once it releases from the backing film and blot away the excess water. For it to settle perfectly into engraved panel lines and curves, use a decal softener and setting solution, then seal it with a clear coat. The assignment of schemes and exact placement follow the included instructions.
This is a decal set, not a model. The base kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
