An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish 7TP light tank in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The model represents the standard tank of the Polish army from the 1939 campaign. According to the manufacturer the box contains plastic parts, tracks and decals for several marking options.
The 7TP, an abbreviation of the Polish siedmiotonowy polski, meaning seven-ton Polish, was a Polish light tank of the second half of the 1930s and the most modern Polish tank at the time of the German invasion in September 1939. It was based on the licensed British Vickers 6 Ton, which the Poles improved markedly: it received a reliable diesel engine and, in the single-turret version, a powerful 37 mm Bofors anti-tank gun that could destroy the German light tanks of the day. Despite its quality the 7TP was available only in small numbers.
Work with thin cement for plastic and proceed in subassemblies; finish and paint the running gear before the final assembly. The tracks and the small parts call for careful cleaning up. Apply a primer before painting and put the paints on with an airbrush. A multi-color camouflage is typical of Polish machines; you complete the weathering with washes in the details and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
