This set from the maker Mantis Miniatures brings, in 1:35 scale, a set of accessories and loaded equipment with which you complete a model of the German half-track motorcycle tractor Kettenkrad (Sd.Kfz. 2). Please note that this is not a kit of the vehicle itself but a resin add-on set for raising the credibility of a finished model or of a diorama.
Loaded crates, tools and small field equipment give the little tractor a lived-in, frontline look. The parts are designed to fit onto the load bed and around the vehicle and to help tell the story of a scene. Resin castings offer sharper detail than ordinary injection-molded plastic allows.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap to remove residues of release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a snap-off knife, sand them down and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Before painting it pays to apply a base coat (primer).
Supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
