It is a universal accessory for various kits that replaces coarser plastic belts with more faithfully rendered parts with embossed rounds and links. It is not a model of a weapon but a detail set for refining machine guns and automatic weapons on vehicle models and dioramas.
Ammunition belts are among the most conspicuous elements of machine gun positions and of mounted weapons. The etched metal version looks finer than plastic and can be shaped more easily into a natural sag, which gives the weapon realism.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, shape them to follow the real run of the belt and fix them with cyanoacrylate. It is a good idea to degrease the etched metal before painting and give it a base coat; the brass of the links comes out well after painting and a light highlight.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a model of the weapon are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
