Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The armies of the former Warsaw Pact, Czechoslovakia among them, took the type into service under the designation BVP-2. The model faithfully captures the characteristic low silhouette, the turret with the cannon and the running gear with six road wheels on each side.
The BMP-2 is a Soviet tracked infantry fighting vehicle that grew out of the earlier BMP-1 as a thoroughly rearmed successor. In place of the short 73 mm cannon it received a two-man turret with a 30 mm automatic cannon and anti-tank guided missiles. The vehicle carried an infantry squad that could fire through ports in the sides of the hull. From the 1980s onward the BMP-2 spread all over the world and still serves in the armies of many countries; in Czechoslovakia and its successor states it carried the designation BVP-2.
Glue the running gear and the wheels and align them before you close up the hull. Lay down a primer coat first, then airbrush khaki or a multi-color camouflage according to the army you have chosen. Pick out the engraved detail and the rivets with a wash, and add dust and mud pigments to the running gear and the lower areas for a realistic finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
