A resin detail set of a canvas top for a model of the German field car the Kübelwagen in 1:35 scale from the production of the Polish brand Mantis Miniatures. The set reproduces the assembled canvas top realistically, with faithful folds, and makes it possible to build the vehicle in its closed, roofed form, which a standard kit usually does not offer.
The Kübelwagen was a light German field car of the Second World War, a counterpart of the American Jeep, built on the basis of the Volkswagen. It served as a liaison, reconnaissance and staff vehicle on every front. The folding canvas top protected the crew against bad weather; both folded and raised it is a conspicuous element of the look of the car.
This is a resin set for more experienced modelers. First wash the mold release residue off the parts and carefully separate them from the casting blocks; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, paint the canvas with an airbrush or a brush and bring out the folds with shading and washes, so that the fabric looks natural.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
