Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement landing gear for the model of the American CH-54 flying crane in 1:35 scale. The set replaces the landing gear legs and the wheels from the kit with more accurate parts and, above all, adds the way the tires deflect under the weight of the machine. That matters on the Skycrane: the machine stands on tall legs and the wheels are in the foreground in photographs, so a perfectly round tire immediately gives away that the model is only balancing on the ground.
The CH-54 Tarhe, in civil form the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane, is a helicopter built around its load rather than around its cabin. It has a narrow fuselage with no cargo hold and a load-bearing structure under which a load or a detachable pod is slung. The US Army used it to recover downed aircraft and to move guns and equipment. In civil service Skycranes still fly today, mainly as firefighting and construction machines.
Snip the parts off the print supports close to the part and level the surface with a file or a scalpel. They are bonded with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. Do not treat the tires with black; a dark gray with a hint of brown keeps the detail. Fit the landing gear legs dry and check that the model stands level on all wheels, and only then fix them in place.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
