A finely photo-etched brass stencil from Voyager Model for applying tactical markings and lettering to modern Chinese armored vehicles in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank kit but a working aid that you lay on the surface of a model and spray paint through the cut-outs. The set is universal and you will be able to use it on a main battle tank of the ZTZ-99 type as well as on other PLA vehicles.
Vehicles of the Chinese People's Liberation Army carry recognition numbers and warning and service lettering. The stencil makes it possible to apply these markings with an airbrush accurately and repeatedly, without depending on decals, which settle with difficulty on a broken-up surface. The result looks like lettering painted straight on, which is an advantage for later weathering.
Cut the stencil carefully out of the fret, lay it on a dry painted surface and fix it temporarily. Apply the paint in thin coats, so that it does not bleed under the edges of the cut-outs. Once it is dry, take the stencil off carefully and clean it; it can be used again. The brass is thin, and gentle annealing over a flame helps with shaping.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended for completing and painting a kit you already have.
