Cross of Iron in 1:35 scale is an injection-molded plastic set of figures of German soldiers of the Eastern Front from Dragon.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set of figures in 1:35 scale from Dragon represents German soldiers from the Eastern Front of the Second World War. It is not a vehicle model but a group of infantry figures meant to bring a diorama to life or to complement a tank or an armored vehicle. The parts are rendered in the fine plastic quality usual for this brand.
The set captures German infantry in the later phase of the fighting on the Eastern Front. Wehrmacht soldiers were then fighting mainly defensive actions in difficult conditions; their equipment included field tunics, helmets, belts with ammunition pouches, bread bags and infantry weapons. Figures like these are exactly what gives a scene with vehicles a human scale, movement and a story.
Join the parts with thin plastic cement, sand the seams down and clean up the sprue stubs. Apply a primer before painting. Shade the uniforms with darker tones in the folds and lighten the edges; faces and hands come out best with layering of flesh tones. A fine wash and matte varnish will unify the whole at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
