Star Decals 1:35 D-Day DUKW — British amphibians No. 1: a decal sheet with the markings of 50 Coy (GT) and 299 Coy (GT).
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of wet decals from Star Decals in 1:35 scale devoted to the DUKW amphibious truck in British service during the landing in Normandy. The first part of the series brings the markings of the transport companies 50 Coy (GT) and 299 Coy (GT) of the British supply service. The sheet makes it possible to build several particular vehicles with period markings.
The DUKW was an American six-wheeled amphibious truck, key to supplying the units directly from ships onto the beaches. During the invasion in June 1944 it was operated in British colors by the companies of the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) and it played an essential role in carrying material through the surf.
Apply the decals onto a smooth surface polished with varnish, and clear-coat with a matte varnish once dry. Using softeners for perfect adhesion over the rivets and the edges of the bed is advisable.
This is a decal sheet, not a model. The kit and the paints are not included in the package.
