A horse-drawn farm plow in 1:35 scale is a resin casting from the Royal Model brand that will bring a country scene to life with or without equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of an agricultural plow of the kind that was hitched behind a team before the middle of the twentieth century. Royal Model makes it as a small scenic element whose job on a base is to stand in for the farm inventory in a yard, at the edge of a field or parked up against the wall of a barn.
The European countryside of 1939 was far from mechanized. Tractors were the exception and the armies requisitioned them besides, so horses and oxen did the plowing practically until the 1950s. The front therefore rolled across farms where modern tracked vehicles stood alongside implements from an entirely different century. That contrast is one of the strongest storytelling devices a builder has at their disposal, and a plow expresses it on a small area.
The metal parts of a plow tended to be painted in a simple color that quickly wore away, while the shares shone silver from rubbing against the soil. The wooden handles have a warm grayed tone. It pays to work in layers: a base, a glaze to pick out the grain, thin rust on the edges and finally dry earth in the places that meet the ground.
The set arrives unassembled and unpainted; obtain glue and paints separately.
