Photo-etched fenders for the T-34 tank (1942-45 version) in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. A thin metal replacement for the plastic fenders of the Soviet medium tank: it is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail accessory, not a model. The set contains photo-etched metal fenders for a kit of the Soviet T-34 medium tank in the production form of the years 1942 to 1945 in 1:35 scale. Thin brass sheet replaces the coarse plastic fenders from the box: it has the correct scale thickness and fine detail. On the T-34 the fenders were commonly bent, torn and lost during the war, and metal allows these typical marks of service to be imitated convincingly. It is made by Aber, the Polish photo-etch specialist.
The T-34 was the key Soviet medium tank of the Second World War, valued for its sloped armor, its wide tracks and its reliable powerplant. The 1942-45 form covers the later production changes to the hull. The fenders are among the first external parts to be damaged.
For more advanced modelers who are building the T-34 in the 1942-45 form in 1:35 scale and want realistically thin fenders, ideally with a hint of wear. Working with photo-etch calls for patience and the right tools.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
