A photo-etched floor part for the fighting compartment of a model of the German light halftrack armored personnel carrier, in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a replacement part. The floor of a vehicle with an open body is clearly visible on a finished model, and because the real floor was sheet metal with an anti-slip pattern, a plastic part with a suggested texture looks flat.

Building and painting tips

Cut the part from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface; do not snap it off. Make the bends over a metal edge. It is glued with super glue in a thin continuous layer, so that the floor seats over its whole area and does not bulge. Degrease the part before painting and lay down a primer. Finish and paint the floor before you close the body up, because afterwards you cannot reach it. Apply the wear only where people really walked.
