An injection-molded plastic kit of the German single-engine Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-6 fighter in the large 1:35 scale from Border Model. The model is conceived as a full interior kit — it contains a completely reproduced BMW 801 radial engine, the weapons bays and the cockpit, while a transparent engine cowling and a transparent weapons bay cover let the internal detail be displayed exposed. The version is completed by Wgr.21 underwing rocket launchers (the 21 cm Werfer-Granate). The box includes photo-etched parts (a brass fret), a decal sheet and seven color camouflage schemes.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger was among the finest German fighters of the Second World War. The Fw 190A-6 version belonged to the Anton series powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine and was armed with two fuselage machine guns and four 20 mm MG 151 cannon. The underwing Wgr.21 launchers were used to break up tight formations of Allied bombers by firing from a safe distance.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting. Paint and shade the engine and the weapons bays before closing up the fuselage; polish the transparent engine and weapons bay covers so the internal detail stands out. Use Luftwaffe camouflage shades (RLM) and an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
