An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet three-axle GAZ-AAA truck with a box shelter in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a finely worked kit with a large number of parts and photo-etched items; because of the number of small parts it is better suited to more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package follow the instructions supplied.
The GAZ-AAA was the Soviet three-axle (6x4) variant of the light GAZ truck, derived from a license-built Ford. It served as a universal army truck of the Second World War and became the basis of a range of special bodies. The version with a box shelter carried an enclosed body used as a workshop, a signals station or a staff and laboratory space.
Assemble the chassis, the engine and the running gear carefully first, as they are richly broken down on this kit. A number of the doors can be built open, which invites a diorama treatment. Spray the base over a primer and bring out the wooden surfaces with a wash into the grain; pigments give mud and dust effects on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
