The real subject

The short 7.5 cm L/24 gun served as a weapon for direct infantry support and appeared in the support versions of Wehrmacht armored vehicles – on the Sd.Kfz.234/3 heavy armored car and on the Sd.Kfz.251/9 halftrack carrier, nicknamed the Stummel. The short barrel with its prominent muzzle is characteristic of these machines.
