The interchangeable resin heads from the 1:35 German heads WWII n.1 set from Royal Model will bring German figures to life with more varied expressions.
Responsibility details are not available.
Royal Model casts these interchangeable heads in resin and offers them with various headgear and expressions. They will replace the factory head on a figure from a kit and give a scene the variety that injection-molded sets do not have on their own.
The face is the first place a viewer looks and at the same time the most demanding part of a figure. Production heads tend to be simplified and repeat within one box, so once a squad is assembled unwanted twins appear. Swapping them for more finely executed castings is the fastest way to lift a whole group without having to rebuild the bodies. The designation in the name refers to the first part, which a continuation with further heads follows on from.
Cut the neck off at the collar and drill a shallow bed into the torso, so that the head sits at the right angle; the turn of the gaze has more influence on the final impression than the number of coats of paint. Build the skin up from a mid flesh tone through brightened raised areas to dark shadows under the chin. Paint the eyes with the finest brush and preferably in two goes. Suggest stubble with a light gray-blue veil.
The castings come without a surface finish; paints, glue and the bodies of the figures are not enclosed.
