1:35 German tank crew in winter dress - WWII is a resin set of figures of a German tank crew in winter dress in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The crew is conceived as a set of half figures intended for the open hatches of a tank in 1:35 scale. Royal Model casts them in polyurethane resin from a master by Roberto Reale and supplies them unpainted. Torsos save space as well as work, since nobody can see inside the hull anyway, but the silhouette of people above the turret transforms the whole impression of the model.
Tankers were among those who needed winter clothing most: they froze in the unheated hull even on the move, and the wind got to them while they observed from the turret. Quilted outfits were put on over the uniform, and the head was protected by a cap with ear flaps or by a helmet with a headset. German medium and heavy tanks usually had a crew of five, so even a set of torsos will fill several hatches at once.
Always try the half figures dry in the particular hatch, because the clearance of the hatches differs between individual kits and sometimes the bottom edge of the torso has to be sanded off. Wash the castings before painting and free them of the parting seams. Once they are finished, attach them with no more than a drop of cyanoacrylate glue, so that the figure can be taken out again before the model is transported. Snow suggested on the shoulders then rounds the scene off.
