This resin detail set from the ELEFANT brand is not a standalone model but an accessory for improving a plastic model in 1:35 scale. The package contains four castings of the gunsight housing and is intended for models of the M48A3 and M48A5, the M60 and M60A1, the Israeli Magach 6/6A/6B and 7A/7C conversions and for the Shot Kal Dalet.
It replaces the simplified or missing gunsight housing on the turret with a finely cast resin part with sharper edges and a more faithful shape than injection-molded plastic can often manage. The result is a more accurate turret silhouette and more pronounced detail in a place that is clearly visible on a finished model.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces down. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Before building, compare the part with the turret of the particular model and adjust the seating if need be.
This is an add-on set for reworking a plastic model; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
