CMK 1:35 Hetzer Saukopf mantlet correction (short type) is a resin correction part for sharpening up the cast gun mantlet of the Hetzer tank destroyer of the middle and late series. Intended for the Academy kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin, 3D-printed correction part from the Czech maker CMK, intended to sharpen up the cast Saukopf (pig's head) gun mantlet of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer of the middle and late production series. It is an aftermarket accessory that replaces the mantlet from the plastic kit with a more faithfully shaped part; this variant corresponds to the shorter version of the mantlet. The set is designed for the Academy kit.
The Hetzer was a light tank destroyer on the Panzer 38(t) chassis armed with a 7.5 cm PaK 39 gun. The gun was protected by a cast mantlet nicknamed the Saukopf after its characteristic rounded shape; it changed in shape during production and occurred in several versions, among them a shorter and a longer form.
Wash the print resin residue off the part and cut away the print supports. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once fitted, the cast surface of the mantlet can be brought out with texture and supported in painting with washes and pigments for a faithful cast appearance.
It is a correction accessory, not a complete model. The base kit is not included in the package.
