About product

IDF PUMA AEV 1:35 - Hobby Boss

Plastic kit of the heavy armored engineer vehicle PUMA of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale. The vehicle is built on a heavily armored tank chassis and serves with engineer units. The set is a typical model of an armored vehicle, with a detailed running gear and superstructure equipment.

The real subject

The PUMA is a heavy combat engineer vehicle that the Israeli engineer units have used since the 1990s. It is based on the armor and the chassis derived from the Centurion tank (the Israeli Sho't version). The vehicle carries a crew and engineer equipment; some examples carry a mine-clearing system. Its heavy armor matches its deployment in the front line.

Building and painting tips

On an armored vehicle, finish the running gear before closing the hull. An airbrush suits the Israeli Sinai gray shade; washes in the recesses and dust pigments on the lower areas will add realism. It is a good idea to paint the superstructure equipment separately.

Who the model is for

  • Fans of Israeli armored and engineer vehicles
  • Modelers with a taste for support combat vehicles
  • Builders experienced with tracked vehicles
  • Collectors in 1:35 scale

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
