Kharkiv 1943 — a tram and a StuG III Ausf. G with crew, BIG SET in 1:35 scale from MiniArt brings a street tram, a German assault gun and figures together into a single scene from the fighting for Kharkiv.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package brings three building projects together into a single scene from the fighting for Kharkiv in 1943: a street tram, the German StuG III assault gun in the Ausf. G version and figures of its crew. Behind the set stands the Ukrainian brand MiniArt, which made its name precisely on linking military hardware with civilian settings. The BIG SET designation refers to a more extensive package than an ordinary separate item from the same manufacturer.
The Third Battle of Kharkiv took place in February and March 1943 and ranks among the fiercest urban engagements of the Eastern Front. The Ausf. G was then the most widespread form of the German assault gun: it received a reworked superstructure, a commander's cupola and a 7.5 cm gun with a long barrel. A tram in the streets of a shot-up city gives the scene a civilian dimension and at the same time shows the real size of the combat vehicle clearly.
It pays to work project by project and to leave the figures until last, so that they can be painted separately. Finish the running gear of the vehicle before you close the hull up. The tram body will take a smooth glossy base under the decals, while the combat vehicle comes out better with dust and mud shades laid down with an airbrush and finished with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
