The set from Quinta Studio brings a photorealistic interior of the Soviet and later Russian KZKT-7428 heavy tractor in 1:35 scale. Its basis is 3D-printed, pre-painted parts (the instrument panel, the consoles, the seats) printed on backing decal paper – they go on like a decal, but they have real three-dimensional 3D relief, so the cab gains depth and modeling with no painting. The words with resin parts mean that the package also holds resin parts. This is not a model – it is an accessory intended for one specific Trumpeter kit, it need not fit another kit and the kit itself is not included in the package.
The KZKT-7428 (nicknamed Rusich) is a Soviet and later Russian heavy off-road ballast tractor with 8x8 drive, developed as the successor of an older tractor for carrying tanks. It pulls semi-trailers with loads in the order of tens of tons and serves above all as the tractor of a tank transporter. It was powered by a powerful diesel V12. The vehicle is built for use in extreme climates and demanding terrain.
The pre-painted 3D parts are applied like decals – the backing is softened in water and the part is seated in place; do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, and unify the surface with a final coat of gloss varnish. The resin parts are washed free of the mold release agent before bonding, separated from the casting blocks and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The interior does not have to be painted, but precision in seating the parts is what counts.
Note: this is not a vehicle kit but a set of interior details. The base Trumpeter kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
