Plastic kit of the M3 Stuart Hybrid in 1:35 scale from MiniArt — the American light tank of the Second World War with a hull of hybrid construction.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light tank M3 Stuart in the Hybrid version in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The Hybrid designation refers to a form of the hull in which the front of the superstructure was made as a rounded welded piece instead of the angular riveted structure. MiniArt is known for finely detailed kits of the M3 Stuart family; check the exact make-up of this package (photo-etch, clear parts, decal options) against the artwork on the box.
The M3 Stuart was an American light tank that appeared at the beginning of the Second World War and spread to Allied armies as well under the Lend-Lease program. It was powered by a radial engine and its main armament was a 37 mm gun supplemented by machine guns. The Stuart was popular for its speed and reliability and was committed in North Africa, in the Pacific and on the Eastern Front, where it mainly carried out reconnaissance and escort tasks.
On a tank, start with the running gear and any interior — finish and paint everything before you close up the hull, because afterwards you will not get to the detail. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, even the whole model out with a primer coat and apply the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. Bring out the panel lines and the rivets with a dark wash, and put dust and mud pigments on the running gear and the lower hull for faithful weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
