A detail set from the Polish brand Aber in 1:35 scale. It holds a precisely turned metal gun barrel of the 90 mm tank gun for the American M47 and M48A1 Patton tanks, supplemented by a T-shaped muzzle brake and a canvas mantlet cover. The set replaces the plastic barrel of the basic model and markedly raises its realism; it is not a kit.
The M47 and M48 Patton tanks formed the backbone of American armored equipment in the 1950s and 1960s. The characteristic T-shaped muzzle brake on the 90 mm gun replaced the older Y shape, which caught on vegetation in the field. The canvas mantlet cover protected the movable mounting of the gun from dust and damp.
This is a detail accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
