A resin detail set from CMK for more experienced modelers. This is not a vehicle kit but a faithfully rendered model of the German Maybach HL 230 P45 tank engine in 1:35 scale. Fine castings capture the engine block and the ancillaries with details that injection-molded plastic usually does not achieve.
The Maybach HL 230 P45 was a powerful twelve-cylinder gasoline engine which powered a number of German heavy fighting vehicles of the Second World War, the Panther and Tiger tanks among them. An exposed engine bay with this unit in it is one of the striking features of a well worked-out model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand resin with protection of the airways. The engine will stand out with a combination of metallic shades, washes and fine picking out of the plumbing and the wiring; hints of traces of use will support the realistic impression.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
