The Type 16 MCV is a modern wheeled fighting vehicle of the Japanese ground forces, introduced from the second half of the 2010s. It carries a gun of 105 mm caliber with a long L/52 barrel and a perforated muzzle brake; the vehicle is designed for rapid movement and accurate fire. A metal barrel captures this slender silhouette more faithfully than plastic.
