This set of waterslide decals from the manufacturer Meng reproduces the texture of the Zimmerit coating on the surface of the German Panther tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model kit but an accessory that greatly simplifies the otherwise very laborious job of creating Zimmerit. The type 1 variant represents one of the characteristic period patterns.
Zimmerit was an anti-magnetic paste that the Germans applied to armor so that magnetic anti-tank mines could not be attached to it. The patterns differed from vehicle to vehicle. These decals carry the relief of Zimmerit in the form of a waterslide film with precisely shaped edges and openings for the surface details. They are applied like an ordinary waterslide decal, but before the model is painted.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
