The Royal Model 1:35 Panzer IV H extension adds thin sheet-metal elements to a model of the most numerous version of the German Panzer IV in place of thick moldings.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory from the brand Royal Model for a model of the German Panzer IV medium tank in the Ausf. H version. It inserts thin metal elements where an injection-molded kit has walls that are necessarily too thick.
The Ausf. H was the most mass-produced form of the Panzer IV and from 1943 it made up the backbone of the German tank battalions. Compared with the earlier production runs it got stronger front armor, the long 7.5 cm anti-tank gun with the L/48 barrel and side skirts against rounds from anti-tank rifles. It was in this form that the Panzer IV fought at Kursk, in Normandy and on the Italian front. Because it was built right up to the very end of the war, you will come across it in period photographs in dozens of different states, from factory machines with Zimmerit to late examples with equipment made up as best it could be.
Metal pieces hold best on a degreased and lightly roughened surface. Carry the smaller elements with smooth-jawed tweezers, so that they do not bend. Attach the skirts and their brackets only once the hull has dried, otherwise they will come loose during handling. Bring the German yellow to life with modulation and dust pigments on the lower part of the vehicle.
Neither the plastic kit nor the chemicals needed for the build are in the package.
