Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the Polish maker Aber for models of the German Panzer IV Ausf.D medium tank in 1:35 scale. The set holds fine parts in photo-etched brass sheet that replace the coarser plastic elements of a kit and markedly raise the fidelity of the model. Please note: this is not a tank model but a metal accessory that is fitted to a plastic kit bought separately.
The Panzer IV Ausf.D was one of the early production versions of the most widely built German tank of the Second World War. It was marked by a short 75 mm gun meant more for firing on soft targets and fortifications, by an external housing for the hull machine gun in the front plate and by a characteristic armor layout. It saw service from the start of the war, among other places in France and in North Africa.
Photo-etched parts are trimmed off with a sharp blade or special scissors, bent over a bending tool or a metal rule and glued with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy. Before painting it is worth degreasing the metal and laying down a primer for metal. Working with fine photo-etched parts calls for patience and experience.
This is an accessory in photo-etched metal, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
