An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian armored reconnaissance vehicle intended for chemical, biological and radiological reconnaissance (NBC) in its late form, from Trumpeter. The model is based on the chassis of the amphibious BRDM-2 with its characteristic belly wheels and a slide-molded lower tub. The kit in ordinary plastic is usually rounded out with photo-etched parts, rubber tires and cord; for the exact contents of the package go by the instructions.
The BRDM-2 is a Soviet armored reconnaissance vehicle with four-wheel drive, amphibious capability and belly wheels for crossing ditches. The version for chemical reconnaissance carried instruments for detecting contamination and equipment for marking safe passages. The late variant differs from the early one in the details of its equipment and fittings.
Finish the interior and the running gear before you close up the hull, and give attention to the belly wheels. Glue the plastic with thin cement, treat the surface with a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush. Bring the Soviet green to life with filters, washes and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
